Acknowledgment of Country

As a school community we would like to pay our respects to the traditional custodians of this land on which we stand today at Narrabeen Sports High School.

We would like to pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging, and to any other First Nations people that gather at our school.

The land we meet on always has and always will be First Nations land. As a school community we would like to help improve education of first nations culture and traditions and help the community grow.

The land and the water surrounding Narrabeen High School are an integral part of who we are and we understand that the ancestors now expect us to be the care takers of this land and its waterways for future generations to enjoy.

We are excited to announce that our school has become one of the country's first official Australian Olympic Pathway Schools.

The Australian Olympic Pathway Schools program aim to boost recognition of the country's rising stars and allow them more opportunities to kick start sporting careers.

Unveiling the first formal partnership between the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC - Australian Olympic Team) and the state’s sports schools, Education Minister Sarah Mitchell said thousands of students would benefit from the “prestigious” endorsement.
