Welcome to Narrabeen Sports High School, a special place in our local community.
Our school is committed to ensuring that every student is challenged, motivated and engaged in their learning, while feeling they are an important part of their school community.
Our students are both empowered and supported to achieve their personal best and strive for academic excellence. We provide outstanding visual and performing arts programs, exciting opportunities in vocational education, and strong leadership and wellbeing programs. We are a recognised Olympic Pathway Partner school, which will ensure a strong focus on talent development and student-athlete support for our Sports Academy students.
Our culture is described by staff and community as positive, professional, and inclusive. We focus on every child achieving academic and personal growth.
Our students are very proud of the positive environment our school creates, balancing competition and cooperation to achieve positive outcomes for all. This atmosphere does not just happen, it is an aspect of our school that every staff member works hard to ensure is present in everything they do. Teaching is focused on providing students with meaningful learning experiences that are catered to each student’s current level of learning. We prioritise continual improvement of student outcomes using the best evidence-based teaching and learning practices.
We make it a priority to know each student as an individual. This personal approach ensures we provide individual support and access to opportunities that are suited to each student’s interests. We encourage all of our students to develop high expectations of themselves and a commitment to their studies. Our approach involves working with parents to support every student to fulfil their academic and co-curricular goals and dreams.
The exciting new K-12 learning pathways we are providing through the NEST (Narrabeen Elenora Student and Teacher) Collaboration provides enrichment opportunities in all domains of High Potential - Intellectual, Creative, Social and Physical.
Our dynamic curriculum, combined with passionate, caring and expert teachers, and soon-to-be upgraded facilities, provides all students with a well-rounded education as well as the skills to set them up for life.
